What to Never Put on Your face?

In this article, I am going to show you five top things that you should never put on your face, and I bet you are going to be surprised at some of the things that I have on my top five lists of things to avoid on your face.

Well, let us start with number five;

5. Bar soap:

Almost every individual have applied, and have used bar soap to cleanse the skin of their face countless times, but bar soap is not good to wash your face with.

Bar soap is very drying to your skin and it often contains sodium lauryl sulfate, a substance that causes the soap to form lather really well, because we like lathering, don’t we?

Well unfortunately that same lathering substance, can really dry your skin. So, use bar soap on your body if you want, but keep it away from your face.

Now let us look at the number four thing you have got to keep away from your face.

4. Petroleum Jelly:

You may have had it applied by your mother or your grandmother onto your face or your lips and it was seen and has been seen for a long time as the ultimate natural moisturizer.

Well, it is a big mistake, because petroleum is bad, and the jelly which was actually discovered at the bottom of petroleum barrels cannot be trusted.

The jelly can clog your pores, resulting in pimples (acne), therefore, applying this on your face, is not good for your facial skin.

It is very occlusive, so if you have got history of any type of acne, it is advisable not to use it on your face, and over your entire body.

There are some natural ones made of beeswax that I would go with instead of petroleum.

The third thing you want to avoid on your face is;

3. Body Moisturiser:

Body moisturizer is great for your body, but not so great for your face, and like petroleum jelly, body moisturizer can clog your pores, it can cause you to break out.

This should not stop you from using body moisturiser. You can go to the store and buy body moisturizer as long as it doesn’t contain harmful ingredients.

But unfortunately, a lot of them do, and finding a good body moisturiser is not a bad idea to use on your body only, but for your face stick with a good facial moisturizer.

You can find good facial moisturiser made with natural and organic ingredients called the calming antioxidant moisturizer here.

It is a great moisturiser for your face; it does not clog your pores and has antioxidants in it.

So use a moisturizer like that one made for your face, not one made for your body

Next on the list, number two is;

2. Rubbing Alcohol

Majority of the toners in the martket do contain alcohol in them, and they give the same feeling as rubbing alcohol on your skin.

Your skin will feel nice, clean, cool, but what it does basically, is it rubs off all of the oils of your skin.

People with real oily skin, that have acne (pimples) issues, excess sebum, think that using rubbing alcohol can get rid of that oil.

But what happens is, it gets rid of the oil temporarily, but then your skin realizes that it is missing oil, and it creates even more oil in response.

In other words, your skin protective response mechanism will produce more oil to keep your face from dryness.

So, my advice to you, is stay away from using alcohol base toners on your face.

Haven said that, let us look at the number one thing to avoid putting on your face.

Although this one is going to be a bit controversial, but it is what it is.

1. Spe.rm:

You may have heard of this from your friends, and may have watched some videos on YouTube about the use of sper.m on the face.

In the market today, there are some popular spe.rm facials, although, I am not going to mention the names of any in this article.

There is this belief that applying se:men or sp.erm basically to your skin is actually good for it, well, the reality is probably pretty far from what people say.

They say it contains antioxidants. It is good for the skin, I mean marginally, but as a toxicologist, I really haven’t tested just how much antioxidants are in sem:en.

People also say that it contains a lot of protein, well, meat contains a lot of protein as well, and we don’t necessarily apply meat to our skin, do we?

And the other thing with se:men and spe.rm basically is that it contains often, well, sometimes, I guess, depending on the company that you keep, it can contain S.T.Ds, and so chlamydia of your eyes can result from it.

I hope that this has been educational for you, please comment, share and check some other articles on beauty here.
